Memories
Family July 8th, 2008My son always wants me to watch movies with him, and seeing that I am not working I have been hanging out with him once all of the other kids are in bed. Last night he decided that he wanted to watch my wedding video. Of course I said sure, it’s been a long time since I watched it. And we had a good time laughing at how small he and his sister were at the time, the big one actually joined us and we had a good time looking back 9 years ago. Of course it was sad too because 5 relatives have since past away so to see them again, laughing, dancing and having a good time was a little hard, but just knowing that they were having a good time made me feel good. I kept telling the boy however to keep his laughing to a minimal because it was late and the King was sleeping, I didn’t want him to be woken up, but all in all the three of us had a good time last night watching my memory, the day I married my friend, God has truly blessed me with a wonderful man that I can love and live the rest of my life with. Once the video was over we realized that it was 2am, so we just left the videos out (which is a big big no no, I always make the kids put the movies away when they are done with them) and now this morning the girls got a hold of them and are watching them in awe. Lauryn said that she wants to watch them again tonight with popcorn, lol. Right now they are dancing with the video and laughing, saying hi to mommy and daddy, grandma and grandpa. It makes me feel real good that all of my kids wanted to watch the video. One thing that cracks me up is that all four of them kept saying “ew, yuk, or get a room” when the King and I would kiss. The video makes me want to have a big party again! And it got the big one thinking of when she gets married, GOD I dread that day, I really do. She is my first born and I don’t know if I will be able to let go. Both of the kids said that they want a big wedding, which is good I guess, that is the only time you get to see family. I just hope that when the day comes for all of my children to get married that they find the right person to fall in love with, just like I did….. with the King.

So sweet! It’s so funny to look back at your parents on their wedding day. It’s so romantic too. Glad that you all got to re-live such a special moment in your lives. And if the girls got a kick out of too, all the better!
Now I want to see the wedding video, girl! I wasn’t there
And you still need to see mine
We’ll have to make a “movie night” soon.

A movie night sounds like fun, but trust me my video is boring, I look like such a dork! I would rather see yours although I am in it so I am sure I’m looking like a dork again. It’s funny how in my video M looks so young his face has changed, Missy made the comment that he looked like a little boy, lol
