WTF!!!!!!
Her Work June 2nd, 2008Since the beginning of this year, I have had many things go wrong in my life, family and with friends, and each time I thought to myself “what else can go wrong?” But I said I had to stop saying that because then the worse would come. Well today, a few minutes ago the worst came. I got laid off of work. I have worked in the Real Estate Industry for 20 years and even though I knew that there was a possibility something like this would happen I just prayed that it wouldn’t and that the economy would pick up. Well that is not so and as my boss put it “it is getting worse”. She did make me feel better by saying that they would hire me back once buisness picked up but heck what will I do now? I have bills to pay……… Damn this sucks!!!!!!!!!!

R, I am SO sorry to hear this. So many places are cutting back now and even when you think you’re safe, it can never be certain. I am praying for you and your family - that you will find the right job and that God will be there to guide you to it. But like you said, for now, it just plain sucks.
((hugs)) big cousin, I love you and am here for you.

Oh that sucks, it really does.
I’ve been there, I know how sickening it is.
I wish you the best of luck with your next move, whatever it is.

I am so sorry! I lost my job at the inspection company when the market went south. It’s a hard struggle getting back to where we were but I know something will come up. What about working at your local school district, like in the admin building?

K- thanks for your kind words. It was easy the last time this happened because I didn’t have the other two kids and our mortgage payment was much lower than it is now. I am just freaking out because I will now have to work outside of the house (I know I sound spoiled) but the girls start Kindergarten in the fall and it is half days, I had a dream job and now it is gone, nothing else can compete to what I had. (sigh)
Xbox- I know that we have all been fired or laid off at one time in life but as you get older it gets harder to find something, especially if you dont have may traits under your belt. Its been close to 20 years since I worked in retail and banking, plus banking doesn’t pay. Thanks for wishing me luck, I am gonna need it
Meri,
wow! dont hear from you often, lol
Ya know the last time I was unemployed I sent in several resumes to the school districts around here and not one person called me, of course there were no phone numbers listed on the internet for them so I had sent my resume again hoping they would see that as a sign that I “really” needed a job, still nothing. I will be back on-line today to see whats out there.
