Things We Take For Granted

Family 2 Comments »

Now I know that there are tons of people out there that take advantage of things such as work, or neighbors or friends and even family, hell I know I have done so in the past. I use to talk to GOD on a daily basis thanking him for another day in the world, for my wonderful husband for my four adorable kids, for having a job and a house, but then I stopped and the only reason I can think of is that I have to much on my plate.  I know that is not an excuse and I promise that I will get back in touch with GOD on a daily basis.

The one thing that the King does that drives me crazy is his snoring.  My GOD it is like being next to a locomotive!! I’m not lying he is really loud, and what I use to do is roll his ass over and the majority of the time it would work but there were times where he would even snore on his side.  I bought him those strips to put on his nose and of course that didn’t work(URGH), so I would just continue to roll him over on his side. That is until February 27th of this year, that is the day that my cousin T’s husband past away, all of a sudden everything that once annoyed me didn’t matter anymore. From that day on I decided not to turn the King over on his side, because GOD forbid the King dies before I do, I know that I would miss his snoring and that I would do anything for time to go back so that I could hear it again. I don’t want to ever regret that so I have just dealt with it.

Even this week when I got sick on Monday with a sinus infection, I continued to try and fall asleep with the one man band snoring in my ear. Last night was worse I think I only got 3 hours of sleep, so I decided to start working at 4:30 this morning. What I think I will suggest to the King is switching places maybe that will help, then again maybe it won’t, but either way I will just deal with it because I do not want to ever take him for granted again. Life is to short and I just want to enjoy laying beside him for as long as GOD gives us.

And the King has his nerve giving me crap about taking a nap during the day ( I don’t do this everyday, just sometimes), some nerve huh. :)

Spring Summer Projects - The List

Projects 5 Comments »

Last year this list ended up consisting of ONE thing, PAINTING. The WHOLE house. By August. Originally the Queen said by end of the yea but, we decided to have a late 40th BDay party for ourselves, ( by 2 years ) and since we had painted large sample blotches on all the walls all over the house they all needed to be painted. We only invited a few ( 80 ) of our friends and family.

There I was EVERY weekend for about 2-3 months painting, I finished up the week before the party. I think it turned out pretty good, noone gave any negative comments at the party.

So this year I get to spend my time outside, in the sun, getting a tan ( burning ). Here is my 2008 project list.

1. Watch them install the swimming pool

2. Build a 30′ x 15′ patio deck

3. Dig out the bushes I planted 3 years ago and redo the front landscaping

4. Put in paver blocks in front of house by walkway for bistro set the Queen bought

5. Backyard landscaping

6. And the only inside project ( hopefully ) work on finishing the basement.

The Leos Get a Pool - The Estimate

Projects, WTF 2 Comments »

This weekend we had the pool installers come out and give us an estimate on how much it was going to cost to install our pool. This wouldn’t have been necessary if last year a different installer told us that it was going to be 12-$1500 to just install it, that was not including the $3000+ for the actual pool. We promptly canceled our pool last year after hearing that cost. This year we have the extra money but are hoping it will be a bit less, so off to buy another pool we went.

Obsession

Tech Stuff, Turn it Up Tuesday 2 Comments »

Blogging, it has become my obsession. Lets go back in time to when this all started and find out who is responsible. I don’t remember the exact date but it was sometime in August or September of 2007 when The Queen received and email from her cousin MissGotWings telling her about her blog when this obsession began ( that was a bad sentence ). After reading a few of her posts, I thought this would be a great way for The Queen to blow off a little steam and to let everyone know about whats been going on around our family. So I got her started with a blog of her own. And of course I thought it might be a good way to make a couple extra bucks off Google Ads ( if anyone ever were to click on them ).
