You’re 5 Now: Get Out There and Shovel
Family, Kids, Photos February 2nd, 2008We got about 8 inches of snow overnight Thursday/Friday morning so yesterday was a snow day for everyone except for the Queen, she gets to work from home ( cannot use bad weather as an excuse here ). This is a picture of the twins shoveling off the porch. We are going to be here ALL day.

Side Post to this: I was out there shoveling the 8 inches off snow of the driveway, and I was almost done, well not really ( only had the 2ft of snow the plows piled up at the end of the drive ), when the Boy came out and said he was going to play. I know there is alot of snow and kids wanna play so I had no problem with it. He saw the kid across the street on the his neighbors driveway and went over there. I continued shoveling, I looked up and saw the Boy just standing there throwing snowballs with noone around. I asked him what he was doing and can you believe what he said? ” Christian is asking his Mom if I can help him shovel. ” WHAT!!! HELL NO!!!
Me: If you are helping anyone shovel its going to be me.
Boy: I don’t have a shovel.
Me: Here use this one.
Boy: I gotta help my Dad, ( head down pouts across the street )
Me: ( hands boy shovel and goes inside to thaw out )
This picture is not that clear, sorry, took it with the girls toy camera, its pretty sad when the 5 year olds have the only digital camera in the house.

Ok, you and your neighbor need to harness this energy to create a win-win. Have the kids tag team on his driveway first, feed them some hot cocoa and cookies and then send them to shift number two at your house. Problem solved!

That would work in the perfect world, I know these kids they would take the coco and run.
