Why do we care about celebrity news? Does it effect our lives in some way? Does it make our lives better knowing what they are doing?

Every time I watch one of these celebrity news shows on TV it makes me want to throw up ( the Queen watches them, I don’t intentionally turn them on ). Do these reporters know how stupid they sound describing the news.? Here is an example, its not exact but you will get the idea:

” Here we can see Danilynn, dressed in a pink dress with a little white bow in her hair, her soft hair blowing in the gentle breeze, shes sitting on her daddys lap, he’s wearing jeans and a white button down shirt. They are smiling at each other. “

( AACK, I just threw up in my mouth )

OK I am back now, I had to go brush my teeth. The above description sounds totally ridiculous when a male reporter says this in some cutesy voice, I would be like ” You are joking right? You actually want me to say it like this? ” Do we really need that detailed of a description? Why cant they just say “Dannilynn and her father were seen in the park today”?  I am already beginning to shudder thinking about all the nonsense that is coming up since it is almost the 1 year anniversary of Anna Nicole’s death. I better keep an empty bucket near by for the next month or so.
